PTE Core, answered.
How is PTE Core different from PTE Academic?
PTE Core is built specifically for Canadian immigration — Express Entry, Permanent Residency and Citizenship — while PTE Academic is designed for university admissions. PTE Core is shorter and uses everyday, workplace-style content instead of academic material.
Is PTE Core accepted by IRCC?
Yes. PTE Core is an approved Secure English Language Test (SELT) for Express Entry, Permanent Residency and Citizenship applications, with scores mapped directly to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). See our full score chart for exact cutoffs.
Which course should I choose — Long or Accelerated?
The Long Course suits students who want a structured 2-month program with 10 classes. Accelerated suits students who want fully one-to-one coaching focused only on their weak areas, on a tighter timeline. Book a free call and we'll recommend one honestly.
